Utilisoft achieved re-accreditation in the globally recognised IIP in January 2009. Utilisoft was commended by the Investors in People assessors who identified a number of strengths, including the implementation of a structured Business Plan which has measurable objectives made clear to all employees, as well as the recent introduction of a more focussed management structure to help meet the strategic objectives identified by the company. During the assessment process, Utilisoft’s employees expressed their enjoyment at working for the company and that they feel recognised and valued.

The company currently has a team of health and safety officers who ensure all working environments comply with all Health and Safety Executive and Fire Safety regulations as a minimum.

Charities
Many employees at Utilisoft participate in charity events including 10km runs, midnight walks and jogging around the local parks. In addition, the company makes regular donations to local charities.
What does Utilisoft do to lower its environmental impact?
Utilisoft has a waste management scheme to ensure that waste is recycled on a regular basis. Utilisoft has suppliers from the local area who deal with the company refuse collection and the company has waste paper bins in all offices, which are collected and recycled on a regular basis.
Lowering Carbon Emissions
Utilisoft supports all of its employees in doing more for the environment. Utilisoftencourages its employees to car share or to take advantage of the Cycle to Work scheme. Utilisoft has a purpose built bike shed and showering facilities on site to aid employees that wish to cycle to work.
Utilisoft has recently installed new water coolers into the office which are plumbed into the main water supply. This removes the requirement for water bottles being delivered to the office.
Utilisoft strives to use local suppliers to reduce delivery journeys, in turn reducing carbon emissions and limiting the damage to the environment.
