The All-Island Single Electricity Market (SEM) is a joint venture between the energy regulators in Northern and Southern Ireland.  It was launched to establish a competitive market, where all electricity generated on the island of Ireland must be purchased from the central market.  Utilisoft developed a solution to meet the complex requirements of the SEM which was supplied to 3 participants planning to enter the market on Go-Live : Synergen, Bord Gais and Tynagh Energy.
